 We work closely with you, the client, to gain a deep understanding of your objectives, preferences, and overall vision for the project. During this critical initial stage of the interior design process, we explore your functional requirements, aesthetic aspirations, and any unique challenges or opportunities presented by the space.  At this stage, we translate the project brief into tangible design concepts. We develop initial ideas through detailed visuals, floor plans, sketches, conceptual 3D models, and proposed finishes, providing a comprehensive representation of the design intent. Our approach ensures clients can clearly envision the direction of the project, understand how key design elements will interact, and see how the overall concept will develop. By presenting our concepts in a visually engaging and structured way, we foster meaningful collaboration, allowing the client to provide feedback and make informed decisions as the design progresses. 

 In the Design Development stage, we refine the project’s vision into comprehensive documentation that guides the construction or fit-out process. This includes completing all detailed drawings, as well as schedules for colours, finishes, fixtures, and equipment, ensuring that builders and fit-out teams have accurate information to cost and execute the project efficiently. We present the client with a carefully curated colour and finishes board, allowing them to visualise the materiality and aesthetic of the space. Additionally, we finalize high-quality 3D visuals that clearly represent the intended design outcome, providing a realistic preview of the space and ensuring alignment between the client’s expectations and the project’s execution. This stage is crucial for confirming every design decision, resolving potential issues, and preparing the project for a seamless transition into the construction or fit-out phase. 

 By this stage, the builder or shop fitter is typically appointed. During this phase, we complete and finalize all documentation drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and detailed construction drawings. We also prepare comprehensive schedules covering colours, finishes, materials, as well as furniture, fittings, and equipment. This ensures that every aspect of the design is clearly communicated, providing the appointed team with all the information necessary for accurate pricing, procurement, and execution of the project 

 With the builder appointed, construction officially commences. Depending on the type of project, this may begin with demolition before the execution of the documented design drawings. This phase is where the design vision transforms into reality, as concepts, plans, and finishes previously developed are brought to life on-site. Careful coordination and oversight during this stage ensure that the project is delivered to the highest standards, reflecting both the design intent and client expectations. 

During the construction phase, the interior designer maintains close oversight through regular site visits and meetings with the builder and, where appropriate, the client. This ensures that the design vision is consistently upheld and that any unforeseen challenges or on-site issues are addressed promptly and effectively. The designer acts as a key point of coordination, facilitating clear communication between all parties and ensuring that decisions are aligned with the original design intent.

As the project progresses towards completion, the designer conducts a comprehensive inspection to identify any defects or areas requiring adjustment. These are documented and communicated to the builder for rectification, guaranteeing that the final outcome meets the highest standards of quality, functionality, and aesthetic excellence. This rigorous process provides clients with confidence that their project will be delivered exactly as envisioned, with attention to every detail 

 After the client has occupied the completed project, a Post-Occupancy Evaluation and Design Review are conducted. This process assesses how effectively the building operates in relation to the design intent and evaluates how well the design meets the needs of the client and end users. It also identifies opportunities for any additional refinements or fine-tuning to optimise functionality, comfort, and overall performance, ensuring the space continues to deliver exceptional results over time
